I am writing this letter of gratitude to Dr. Neil McDevitt and his staff. Today made four years since I had the Gastric By-pass surgery. From the moment, I made the decision to do it, I knew it meant my life had to change mentally first then physically. When I awoke on the morning of the surgery, I was so happy and scared. I knew it was the beginning of a new journey for me. When I saw Ms. Joyce’s face when I arrived at the hospital, I knew I was with people who cared and I was not just another patient. I have taken every moment of this journey seriously. From the time I awoke in recovery, I knew first I would not let myself, family, and Dr. McD. Down. These four years have been relatively easy for me, it doesn't always go that way for everyone. I am blessed to have been a success at this procedure. I gained a few pounds here and there, but I have maintain between 135-140 lbs and have wavered between sizes 3,4, and 5; from the beginning weight of 240 and size 20. I owe it all to God,
